The Clinical Effects of Ethyl-Loflazepate(Victan^(®)) in the Treatment of Anxiety disorders

Abstract
|
|
|
To evaluate the clinical effects of Ethyl Loflazepate (Victan®), author applied Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAS) on the patients with anxiety disorders (20 cases) and appraise change of anxiety symptoms, overall efficacy, safety and side effects during 3 weeks of treatment with Ethyl Loflazepate.
The results were summarized as follows.
1. After 3 weeks of treatment, the antiaxiety effects of Ethyl Loflazepate (Victan®) were significantly different from before treatment (P<0.001).
2. Fear, intellectual function and behavior at interview were the symptoms of delayed therapeutic effects (after 1 week).
3. Overall efficacy was good (80%) and overall safety was excellent (100%).F
From these results, Ethyl Loflazepate (Victan®) is evaluated as effective antianxiety drug wit usual doses (4-6 mg/day, p.o., single or b.i.d.) and can be applied safely and usefully on the anxiety disorders.
